I only know this thru countless piano versions. Didn't know it even had lyrics.

    Similarly, Vince Guaraldi's greatest hit,
long before Peanuts and "Linus and Lucy",
was "Cast Your Fate to the Wind". I used to sneak into my sister's room and play it over and over when she was out.

I saw a british band in the 90s that used it for an encore. Started with the familiar piano ostinato, then the singer stepped up. I honestly had no idea there were lyrics. (Pretty sure VG wrote them, but wikipedia is down today in protest to SOPA, so I can't fact-check.)
