I saw Stephane Grapelli at the Bottom Line in NYC in the seventies. That's him with the violin in the photo.
I had an LP of him with Gary Burton, the vibes player.
I'm like a "Wings" fan, surprised to hear McCartney was in another band previously. Only much later I heard of Django.
But I've always preferred Jack Bruce to Eric Clapton, John Cale to Lou Reed, Keith to Mick. My wife says I often pick "the wrong side" when friends divorce, too.
