Bing Crosby is the best that ever was and ever will be. His incredibly beautiful and versatile voice, his warm personality and his limitless talent were more than anyone else has ever or will ever be able to offer the public. I like and admire many other performers and actors, but there will always be only one Bing Crosby.

I looked this up after my mother died. She lived through the Blitz in london in WW2 and would have listened to this. I wrote some of the lyrics in my memorial to her. They are very moving; thank you for this site.

Bing is one of, if not the best of, the 20 century. It is a disgrace that the RAII does not rate him as one to top selling artist of all time.

I have always been a fan of Bing Crosby but I would have to say even though it was a hit for him his version of "I'll be seeing you" would have to be the worst and most wooden I have heard. If you listen to some of his contemporaries (and there were some greats) it becomes more obvious. There have been some wonderful versions of that song from Billie Holliday, Frank Sinatra, Jo Stafford, but for me the finest is from the British singer of that era, Anne Shelton (who performed often with Bing)and made that song one of the greatest of the Second World War.
