Wow it was so good to hear the original " Song Of India" from the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, it has been a long time since I have heard it but remember it with great fondness and respect. I am a drummer of 51 years now and when I first started to learn drums I use to practise to this recording which was on a 78r.p.m. record and it still has that magic it always had. Tommy Dorsey's Orchestra was one of the most advanced big bands from the 1930's and on Swing era and to think that Buddy Rich played with the Dorsey Big Band until Frank Sinatra was asked to sing with them.
